You are welcome to bring whatever food you would like on-board for a private cruise. If you decide to bring food on your private cruise, you will need to bring whatever items you need to serve and eat the food you bring on-board. For example...Paper plates, Napkins, Utensils, etc.

You can either bring the food down to the Rosemarie before our mandatory safety meeting or after the meeting as you and your guests board the Rosemarie. The Rosemarie is normally at the dock at least an hour before your safety meeting so you will have plenty of time to get your food onboard. Please let Captain Morgan know if you plan to bring food onboard "before the meeting" so he can make sure he is ready for you and the food. Once the food is placed onboard, the Captain's crew will handle the food from there. The Crew will set the food out, keep it clean and neat, and clean it up towards the end of the cruise. You should simply let the Captain's Crew know if you have any special instructions for the food, but then relax and enjoy your cruise while the Captain and Crew take care of the rest.

Food On Private Cruises

Pre-planned cruises are cruises planned and advertised by Captain Morgan. Tickets for one of our pre-planned cruises are purchased from the Pre-Planned Cruise page of this website. Pre-planned cruises can consist of many different groups of people (up to 35 guests), therefore we do not allow food to be brought onboard our pre-planned cruises.

With that said, some of the Captain's Pre-planned cruises include food as part of the cruise package. You can see what each pre-planned cruise includes along with the cost for each cruise on our Pre-Planned Cruise page.

Food on Pre-Planned Cruises

Food on Overnight Cruises

Many people decide to have the food catered for their private cruise which is fine, however, if you use a caterer please keep the following things in mind.

1). You will need to make sure they (or you) supply everything you will need to serve and eat the food they provide. Many caterers only provide the food in aluminum pans and nothing else.

2). No flames onboard at all. If you need something heated up, please talk to the Captain's Crew and they will help you.

3). Please avoid bringing plug in appliances such as crock pots, electric skillets, etc.. The Rosemarie only has 115V power if we run the generator during your cruise.

Finally, If you decide to have food catered, I would recommend that you at least talk to Chris or Erica at the Boardwalk Grill Restaurant in Discovery Bay (925.513.2499) to see what they can do for you.

They have various food packages to choose from and you can select a package size that fits your cruise size. They also provide everything you will need such as plates, napkins, utensils, etc. The food comes in hard white dishes as apposed to aluminum trays. The Restaurant staff loads the food onto the Rosemarie as we have our safety talk inside the restaurant and when the cruise is over, the restaurant staff comes and picks up all their dirty dishes, etc.  The only thing you end up doing is writing the check.

Half-boat food packages are $329.99 (plus tax & service charge) and Full-boat packages are $489.99 (plus tax & service charge), please click on the Boardwalk Link above for food options and more details.

Note: Captain Morgan does not make any money off of your catered food bill regardless of who you use. .

Catered Food For Private Cruises

Overnight cruise adventures include all meals as part of the quoted package. The Captain will work with you to ensure all planed meals are something you and your guests will enjoy. If guests want to bring special food items due to dietary issues or they simply want to bring favorite snacks, etc. they are welcome to do so.
