Wednesday starts early by motoring the Rosemarie to Pirates Lair for breakfast where you will enjoy good old Delta cooking located on the historic Delta Loop.
After spending about three hours exploring unique parts of the Delta River System, our next stop of the day will be at the Delta Marina Yacht Harbor in Rio Vista. There we will hop on the motor coach for a short fifteen minute ride to Suisun City and visit the Western Railway Museum. This stop is a step back in time and will be a very interesting and educational part of our Adventure. We will ride an antique electric train (built in 1904) while the narrator gives us the history on the railway system that stretches across the farmland of Northern California. After our guided train tour, it will be down the road for twenty minutes to a roadside Farmers Market with an amazing wine tasting room/bar. There you will enjoy a picnic lunch under a huge trellis that is home to hanging grape vines.
Then back on the Rosemarie and further north up the Sacramento River as we say hello to our Delta expert tour guide that will be talking about the history of the Delta water system, levees, bridges, wildlife, and many other interesting facts about the Delta region. Continuing on our adventure, the Rosemarie will meander up a long winding slough, pushing east passed the town of Isleton and on in to downtown Walnut Grove, for a short stop to explore the quaint town. Check out Mel's Mocha & Ice Cream shop for a sweet treat, or cross the Levee and down to the old part of town where homes and businesses still stand after 100 plus years! At this stop you can see the Miyazaki Bathhouse and Gallery which is the only working Japanese Bath House in the Country.
After our visit to Walnut Grove you will head down one of the most beautiful sloughs on the Delta, it is the Georgiana Slough. Georgiana Slough is lined with huge trees that overhang the still water’s edge and in this picturesque slough, you can often see turtles sunning on a log, or a Blue Heron swooping down from the top of a tree to glide across the water’s surface. You definitely want your camera ready as the Captain radios the Tyler Island Bridge and it begins to swing open for us to slide by the bridge in the narrow Georgiana Slough.
The cruise continues as we motor back across the North Fork of the Mokelumne River and on into Tower Park Resort & Marina for dinner at Rosa’s. After dinner on this night you can retire to your lodge for some rest and relaxation, or you can stay with the Captain at Rosa's as he bust out all the stops, its PARTY night with a live band or DJ (depending on availability), no-host bar and dancing until 10:00pm! Practice the line dance you learned the night before or just use your favorite moves as we rock the Marina!!!
Per person based on double ocupancey

After partying late last night you are going to need a stiff drink to straighten you out. So the Captain’s Crew will have Bloody Mary’s, Mimosa’s and hot coffee ready for you to kick off your breakfast. After breakfast we cast off lines and start our three hour cruise to Discovery Bay. Across the San Joaquin River shipping channel, down through Mildred Island (It’s actually a big lake area) Around Bacon Island Bridge, passed Bullfrog Marina, Down Railroad Slew, under the Orwood Railroad Bridge, and passed the Discovery Bay Lighthouse and we are there.
Once in Discovery Bay the Captain will take you on a slow Bay cruise in and out of the various Bays that make up Discovery Bay. You will see Condo’s that range from $250,000, to homes that go for $4,000,000 Plus! You will be amazed at the homes with pools built right in the docks, and at the water Plane that sits behind a home waiting for the owner to take it up for a leisurely flight to San Francisco Bay. Soon the cruise will end at the Boardwalk Grill Restaurant in Discovery Bay. The Boardwalk Grill is a local favorite, with great food and waterfront dining. We will enjoy lunch at the Boardwalk Grill and reminisce about the awesome adventure we have just had!
After lunch and a few words of thanks from the Captain, you will be able to stroll down the Boardwalk in the Marina where you can stop and visit cool local shops for a souvenir like Island Time, Madelyn’s Boutique, and the Chandlery. Don’t forget to tell them Captain Paul sent you and they may even give you a discount on your souvenir!
After you have time to get your souvenirs, you will be boarding the motor coach for your ride home. You will motor back to where the whole adventure started, but with a little something extra… A once in a lifetime experience to share with family and friends!

The lodges at Tower Park Resort & Marina are very clean (I personally checked them before recommending them) and part of a Jellystone camp ground which have all amenities including a pool, cable TV & Wi-Fi connection. They are quaint lodges but their “two bedroom that sleeps 6” is very comfortable for 4 adults. It has a private room with a queen size bed and a sofa bed in the living/kitchen area that pulls out into a queen size bed (linen's provided but guest makes the sofa bed). They also have two bunk beds but I would use that to hold my luggage. Shower/tub in each lodge along with full electricity including air conditioning and ceiling fans. They are very nice!

Up early for buffet breakfast and then off for the Port of Stockton. Along the way from the top deck of the Rosemarie you will have a spectacular view looking over the top of the Delta levee system, gazing at miles of open farm land while enjoying nature all around you. The Rosemarie will glide in and out various Delta sloughs on her way to the San Joaquin River, and then on into the Port of Stockton. The Captain will point out the USS Lucid (All wooden Navy Minesweeping Ship) along the way which is being restored to museum quality since it is the only one of its kind left in the United States. Once at the Port you will see huge shipping freighters within just feet of the Rosemarie, all tied along the dock loading and unloading cargo. You will also see the newly redeveloped downtown Marina with Baseball stadium (Home of the Stockton Ports), and arena for concerts. Etc.
As the morning stretches into afternoon, Captain Paul will bring the Rosemarie around and set course for Garlic Brothers Italian Restaurant located on the water’s edge at the end of a calm Delta slough. There you will enjoy a family style lunch that includes all you can eat Tri Tip, Pasta, Grilled Chicken, Grilled Asparagus, Salad, and Bread with vinegar and oil. After Lunch it’s on the motor coach for a short twenty minute ride to a few Wineries in Downtown Lodi for some wine, champagne, & Cheese tasting. After sipping the delicious wines of Lodi, you will head back to Tower Park Resort & Marina for an hour of line dance lessons with one of our local line dance cuties. Tired and hungry from all of the wine tasting and line dancing, our buffet dinner will be at Rosa’s Restaurant which is perched on the water’s edge and provides panoramic sunset views of the Delta. You can then walk off dinner around the Marina Grounds while you enjoy ice-cream or a special treat from Sunset Sweets at the Marina.
